For his 47'th birthday, my husband received as a gift from one of his friends a box of dutch masters. He doesn't really smoke but he tried to light one of them and we were all surprised that the waiter told us it was the first day of the smoking ban. I don't agree with smoking in public places but maybe there should be restaurants just for smokers.

Who would have thought that we would all still be arguing this issue this many years later.

And certain businesses and smokers claimed that business would be severly affected. That's pretty much the same argument that was made when smoking was banned on airliners. This just goes to show that there simply are no financial arguments against smoking bans anywhere.
